The LHS Unicef Chapter volunteered at Volunteer North Dallas's event to help make sandwiches for the homeless in DFW. We make over 200 sandwiches!

Trick O' Treat for UNICEF

"Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF began 66 years ago as a way to help kids still affected by World War II. Since then, millions of children across the United States have gone door to door on Halloween with UNICEF collection boxes, calling out, "Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF!" The annual tradition of Kids Helping Kids® — involving donations big and small — has helped to raise more than $175 million since 1950." Click here to learn more

North Texas Meet-Up

LHS UNICEF officers and some dedicated UNICEF members went to the North Texas meetup in the UNICEF Downtown Dallas office to meet up with other high school and college UNICEF chapters! It was a fun filled day with team bonding activities and networking opportunities!

On January 29th, Emiliana Lopez, the Dallas UNICEF Engagement Fellow, came to Liberty High School to speak on Gender Equity.
Book Drive
3/9/18 - 3/30/18
The Liberty UNICEF Chapter held another successful book drive. The books, this year, was sent to Better World Books.

UNICEF Student Summit
3/10/18 - 3/13/18
Co-President Ria Bhasin attended the Annual UNICEF Student Summit in Washington D.C. She got to network with clubs across the country and meet with her Senators and Congressional Representatives!
